Start your day with a morning coffee at Canal Grande, then take a stroll towards Molo Audace and continue your sightseeing along the beach. If you’re in the mood to check out a great exhibition, head into the grand former fish market building on the seafront, Salone degli Incanti. If you’d rather continue the day with some treats and relaxation, there are at least three options directly along the beach: you can have ice cream at Il Pinguino, enjoy an Aperol Spritz at the elegant Pier the Roof overlooking the marina (it’s signposted next to the exhibition space, just walk to the end of the pier), or sit down at Eataly.
If you’re ready to hit the beach after all this, hop on bus number 9 at the nearest bus stop and travel two stops. If you can still handle some walking, continue along the marina all the way to the beaches, which are right next to each other, behind the marina, toward the sea. For mixed-gender groups, we recommend Bagno Ausonia. If you don’t need gender separation, El Pedocin is also a great choice. You’ll spot the entrance to Ausonia as soon as you get off the bus, while for El Pedocin, head toward the marina and follow the blue-painted wall.
