At Sticco Mare Beach, you can enjoy comfortable sunbathing and a wonderful view.
Located on the private beach on the side of Barcola, Trieste’s free beach, toward the Miramare Castle and the edge of the nature reserve, this spot offers a true luxury experience. In 2023, autumn storms severely damaged it, but as a result, it reopened in June this year with a completely renovated, stylish beach. It offers all the services you’d expect from a place calling itself a beach club: comfortable lounge chairs, cabins, a bar, and a restaurant. The surroundings are simply stunning, and the water in this part of the Trieste Bay always seems to be a deeper shade of blue. You can also book your spot online, and the prices are not much higher than the rates at crowded beaches like in Bibione or Grado: a sunbed costs about 15 Euros. One downside is that it’s not very relaxing for those with small children, but it’s perfect for kids who can swim and love diving! On weekends, they even host parties in the evenings.
